Overview

Metromont is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their engineering team in Greenville, South Carolina. The role involves providing leadership, technical expertise, and managing complex structural projects within a company that has been a leader in the precast concrete industry for nearly a century.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform engineering calculations and details for all products and connections.
  • Independently manage engineering design aspects of projects with minimal guidance.
  • Lead project teams and resolve design issues independently.
  • Attend and lead project coordination meetings.
  • Review contract documents and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
  • Check engineering design calculations and details for accuracy.
  • Evaluate design costs and take appropriate action.
  • Participate in pre-sale engineering design processes as needed.

Required skills

  • BS in Civil Engineering, structural emphasis preferred
  • PE Certification required
  • 7+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Previous precast concrete engineering design knowledge preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with engineering design software
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
