Job Description

Overview

As a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Capital One Canada, you will lead the development of scalable and secure technology solutions for iOS platforms while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for defining technical strategies, mentoring engineers, and guiding major technical investments within the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and drive the technical strategy for complex, multi-domain iOS platform needs
  • Collaborate throughout the Software Development Life Cycle in a dynamic mobile team
  • Act as a thought leader, influencing architectural roadmaps and technical investments
  • Mentor and coach Junior and Intermediate engineers, providing guidance to technical and business stakeholders

Required skills

  • At least 8 years of hands-on development of Native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI
  • Experience in application design, technical architecture and development
  • Experience leading and mentoring Junior and Intermediate Associates
  • Exposure to AWS or other cloud products
  • Experience in an agile environment
  • Experience with open source frameworks
