Overview

The Senior Staff Accountant Tax role at Strategic Tax & Accounting, LLC involves working independently to manage multiple clients and prepare various financial statements and tax returns. The position requires significant public accounting experience and proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks and QBO.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and examine accounting records and financial statements
  • Prepare individual, business, gift, and trust tax returns
  • Manage multiple clients and assist bookkeepers with guidance
  • Assist with communication with IRS and state taxing authority for tax-related issues

Required skills

  • 5-7 years public accounting experience
  • 5-7 years tax return preparation experience
  • Bachelors degree in accounting
  • CPA candidate (preferred but not required)
  • QuickBooks and QBO experience
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good organization and communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • MS Excel and MS Word experience
