Job Description Job Description About the RoleWe're seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Accountant to support our growing finance team. In this role, you'll take ownership of complex accounting tasks, ensure accurate financial reporting, and partner with departments across the organization. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of hands on accounting, analytical work, day-to-day accounting, and process improvement within a more structured environment. Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral AccountingPrepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activityLead components of the month end and year end closeMaintain accruals, prepaids, and fixed asset schedulesSupport AP/AR review and ensure compliance with company policiesAssist with revenue recognition and cost accountingFinancial Reporting & AnalysisReview monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsPerform variance analysis and provide insights to managementSupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelingAssist with internal and external auditsAssist with treasury functionsCompliance & ControlsEnsure adherence to GAAP and internal control standardsHelp maintain and improve accounting policies and proceduresSupport tax compliance (sales/use tax, property tax, etc.)Cross Functional CollaborationPartner with operations, HR, procurement, and leadership to support financial accuracyProvide financial insights for business initiatives and process changes.Assist with system upgrades or ERP enhancements.QualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3-5+ years of progressive accounting experienceAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling)Strong analytical and problem solving abilitiesPreferredExperience in a mid size or multi entity environmentExposure to audit, cost accounting, or revenue recognitionFamiliarity with process automation tools
