Overview

Sentara Health is seeking a Senior Specialty Infrastructure Engineer for a hybrid role in Virginia Beach, VA. This position involves maintaining cloud, network, and telecommunication infrastructure, ensuring optimal system performance, and enhancing the organization's connectivity.

Key responsibilities

  • Update hardware for cloud, network, and telecommunication maintenance
  • Detect and resolve system and application issues
  • Ensure smooth data and voice flow throughout the organization
  • Manage security of computer systems and networks
  • Improve, plan capacity, and design infrastructure engineering projects
  • Work independently with general supervision

Required skills

  • 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or 7+ years without
  • Cisco Catalyst route/switch experience
  • Knowledge of BGP routing
  • Cisco/Fortinet Firewall experience
  • Cisco Wireless and Juniper Mist Wireless experience
  • Juniper Routing and switching configuration experience
  • CCNP Certification (preferred)
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and travel to job sites
