Overview

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist in Systems Engineering with a focus on statistical analysis. In this role, the Statistician will utilize statistical methods to address complex challenges across various engineering, operations, and business applications while promoting statistical thinking within cross-functional teams. The position emphasizes problem-solving, collaboration, and effective communication of technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Key responsibilities

  • Apply statistical methods to support engineering and business applications.
  • Promote statistical leadership and solutions across production and development teams.
  • Utilize statistical data analysis, predictive modeling, and simulation tools for decision-making.
  • Provide recommendations for sampling and experimental designs.
  • Support reliability and risk assessment activities.
  • Document and present analysis results in reports and presentations.
  • Identify and lead Six Sigma initiatives across various sites.
  • Develop and implement statistical quality control methods.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience, or a Graduate Degree with 4 years of experience, or 10 years
  • Statistical software proficiency in Minitab, SAS, R, Python, or similar tools.
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Familiarity with machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Bayesian methods.
  • ASQ Certified Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
  • ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer.
