Overview

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist in Systems Engineering with a focus on statistics to apply statistical methods across various engineering, operations, and business applications. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing statistical expertise to enhance decision-making processes, all while maintaining high delivery standards and quality.

Key responsibilities

  • Promote statistical thinking and provide leadership to cross-functional teams.
  • Utilize statistical data analysis and predictive modeling tools for technical decision-making.
  • Develop experimental designs and conduct analyses for engineering product development.
  • Document work and present results to diverse audiences including technical experts.
  • Identify and lead Six Sigma efforts across various sites.
  • Support statistical quality control methods in operations.
  • Contribute to growth by improving procedures and training.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant experience or a Graduate Degree with 4 years of experience or 10 years of prio
  • Master's degree in Statistics preferred.
  • Experience with statistical software packages such as Minitab, SAS, R, Python.
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Familiarity with machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Bayesian methods.
  • ASQ Certified Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
  • ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer.
