L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist in Systems Engineering with a focus on statistics to provide expertise and leadership in statistical methods for various engineering, operations, and business applications. The role is integral to delivering high-quality solutions and supporting complex problem-solving within the defense technology sector.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide statistical leadership and solutions to cross-functional teams
  • Utilize statistical data analysis, predictive modeling, and simulation tools
  • Develop experimental designs and conduct analyses for product development
  • Support reliability and risk assessment activities
  • Document work in reports and presentations for diverse audiences
  • Lead Six Sigma efforts and develop statistical quality control methods
  • Contribute to discipline growth through improving procedures and training

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of relevant experience or a graduate degree with 4 years of experience
  • Experience with statistical software packages such as Minitab, SAS, R, Python
  • Technical writing skills
  • Familiarity with machine learning, artificial intelligence, and Bayesian methods
  • ASQ Certified Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
  • ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
