Overview

L3Harris is looking for a Senior Specialist in Systems Engineering with a focus on statistical expertise. This role involves applying statistical methods to various engineering, operations, and business applications, aiming to fulfill customer requirements and enhance product development. The position emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams and delivering quality results under limited supervision.

Key responsibilities

  • Apply statistical methods to a diverse product line.
  • Collaborate with engineers and managers to provide statistics expertise.
  • Promote statistical thinking and offer leadership solutions.
  • Utilize statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and simulation tools.
  • Provide sampling recommendations and develop experimental designs.
  • Support engineering product development and process improvement.
  • Document work in reports and presentations for diverse audiences.
  • Identify and lead Six Sigma efforts across various sites.
  • Support the development of statistical quality control methods.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years of experience or Graduate Degree with 4+ years of experience or 10+ years without a degr
  • Master's degree in Statistics preferred.
  • Experience with statistical software (Minitab, SAS, R, Python).
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and Bayesian methods.
  • ASQ Certified Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.
  • ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer.
