Overview

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist in Systems Engineering with a focus on statistical analysis. This role involves applying statistical methods to a variety of engineering and business applications while promoting effective collaboration among cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will leverage their statistical expertise to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

  • Apply statistical methods to a diverse product line and collaborate with engineers and managers.
  • Promote statistical thinking and provide leadership in supporting production and development programs.
  • Utilize statistical data analysis, predictive modeling, and simulation tools for technical decision-making.
  • Develop experimental designs and support engineering product development and process improvements.
  • Provide statistical expertise in reliability and risk assessment activities.
  • Document work in reports and presentations, including analysis approaches and results.
  • Identify and lead Six Sigma efforts across various sites.
  • Support the development of statistical quality control methods.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience or a graduate degree with 4 years of experience, or 10 years of related exp
  • Expertise in statistical software packages such as Minitab, SAS, R, and Python
  • Technical writing skills
  • Familiarity with machine learning, artificial intelligence, and Bayesian methods
  • ASQ Certified Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
  • ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
