Overview

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Control Systems Analysis Engineer to join the Missile Solutions Missile Propulsion sector within the Systems Engineering organization. This full-time role focuses on modeling and analyzing solid propulsion and throttling solid rocket technology development programs, involving dynamic modeling, simulation, and control algorithm design.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform dynamic modeling and simulation of propulsion systems
  • Design and develop control algorithms for propulsion systems
  • Conduct actuation system modeling and analysis
  • Model and analyze steady state and transient performance
  • Utilize Matlab/Simulink and C/C++ for modeling tasks
  • Support the development of rocket propulsion hardware and software requirements
  • Coordinate with avionics and software engineering teams
  • Develop test plans and procedures for propulsion system testing
  • Perform pre-test predictions and integrate electronic test support equipment
  • Conduct post-test data analysis
  • Travel offsite for testing as required

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 6 years of Control Systems Analysis experience (or 4 years with a graduate degree, or 10 years without a degree)
  • Expertise in Matlab/Simulink and C/C++
  • Knowledge of control theory and propulsion theory
  • Experience with propulsion system controls, design, integration, and testing
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
