Overview

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist, Systems Engineer to support the development, integration, and delivery of mission-focused system solutions. This role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure system designs meet mission needs while complying with program requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the development of system concepts, architectures, CONOPS, and use cases across the system lifecycle.
  • Participate in defining, decomposing, and managing system level requirements.
  • Assist with system design, integration, and verification and validation (V&V) activities.
  • Produce and maintain engineering artifacts such as interface definitions and architecture documentation.
  • Analyze system performance data and support root cause investigations.
  • Support internal and customer design reviews and technical presentations.
  • Collaborate with product owners and program engineers to refine requirements and system designs.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of relevant experience or 10 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree
  • Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance
  • Familiarity with defense development lifecycles and milestone review processes
  • Experience with MBSE or digital engineering tools (e.g., Cameo, SysML)
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration across engineering teams
  • Broad knowledge of engineering domains such as electrical, mechanical, RF, software, or hardware
  • Experience using lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators)
  • Familiarity with Agile development approaches
