Overview

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist, Labor Relations HR Business Partner to join their team in Canoga Park, CA. The role requires experience in labor relations practices, contract negotiations, and grievance resolution. The incumbent will administer labor agreements, manage grievances, and engage with union representatives while providing support and guidance to supervisors and managers.

Key responsibilities

  • Administer day-to-day labor agreements and ensure compliance
  • Resolve grievances and engage in proactive grievance avoidance
  • Assist in labor negotiations preparation and documentation
  • Act as the primary liaison for payroll and leave of absence processes
  • Screen Bargaining Unit employees for advancement opportunities and manage job postings
  • Track labor relations data to identify trends and present analysis results
  • Establish trust with union employees through engagement activities
  • Maintain document integrity with organized electronic filing systems
  • Support special projects and identify process improvement opportunities

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or significant related experience
  • 6+ years of experience in Labor Relations or HR generalist roles
  • Proficient understanding of Human Resources management principles and laws
  • Experience with HRIS tools such as PeopleSoft and Oracle TM Suite
  • Strong problem-solving skills and independence in managing responsibilities
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
