Overview

P.F. Chang's is seeking a Senior Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager to lead their culinary team in Louisville, Kentucky. This role involves managing daily culinary operations to uphold high standards and ensure guest satisfaction while mentoring staff and promoting a positive work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead a high-volume, scratch kitchen culinary team
  • Ensure guest satisfaction through memorable culinary experiences
  • Develop, mentor, and inspire culinary team members
  • Assist with scheduling, interviewing, and hiring staff
  • Provide feedback and recognition to staff
  • Maintain product quality standards through regular line checks
  • Engage in food preparation and line cooking as needed
  • Follow and execute state safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Contribute to building sales and maximizing financial success
  • Assist with cost control and food inventories

Required skills

  • 3+ years of culinary or restaurant leadership experience
  • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license for shift coverage and other duties
  • Experience mentoring and training team members
  • Knowledge of inventory management and financial controls
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
  • Capability to lift and transport objects weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Experience operating kitchen equipment and maintaining knives
