Overview

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Software Security Engineer for their Software Security Sensors and Effectors (S3E) Department in Tucson, AZ. This role focuses on developing world-class Security Software for deployed missile systems, involving real-time software design and application security across various computing platforms.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop software applications using C and C++ for missile software systems
  • Apply System Security principles to the design and implementation of software applications
  • Design, develop, integrate, and test real-time missile software
  • Collaborate with Systems Security Engineering to define and implement requirements
  • Interface with customers to review technical designs and verify system maturity

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant software experience
  • Experience with C/C++
  • Experience with embedded processors like Xilinx UltraScale+ MPSoC or Versal
  • Knowledge of embedded operating systems such as VxWorks or Embedded Linux
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Level U.S. security clearance
  • Experience with security-oriented solutions on DoD programs
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps environments
  • Proficiency in Python or Perl
  • Knowledge of modern computer architectures and technologies
