Overview

Sumo Logic, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer-I to build, improve, and maintain stream processing services while collaborating with team members to enhance product functionalities. The role involves code revisions, monitoring production, and mentoring junior engineers, all while staying updated with industry trends.

Key responsibilities

  • Build, improve, and maintain stream processing services by writing and revising code
  • Alter and supplement public and private APIs to expose new functionalities
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Conduct research to scope future project work
  • Collaborate on major feature designs and operational support requirements
  • Monitor production and respond to production incidents
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
  • Mentor junior engineers and help them grow
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies
