Work Location: 50660 Century Ct., Wixom, MI 48393. Job Duties: Responsible for embedded firmware design and development of new and legacy products. Design and implement base embedded software for height control, vehicle leveling, and automatic tire inflation (ATIS) on ARM-based MCUs (e.g., NXP S32K/Cortex-M). Define software architecture and modularity to enable reuse across ECU variants; establish interfaces between BSW and application layers. Provide expertise in analyzing PCBA designs for proper architecture. Develop and integrate RTOS tasks, inter-task messaging, and rate transitions; implement wrapper interfaces for models running at different rates (up/down-sampling, buffering). Implement drivers and HAL layers for CAN, LIN, SPI, IC, ADC, PWM, UART, EEPROM/NvM; bring up bootloaders and diagnostic services (UDS). Build diagnostics, logging, and fault handling; support HIL and end-of-line test integration (e.g., CANoe, NI/LabVIEW). Manage repositories and releases in Helix Core and Git/Bitbucket, including branching strategy, code reviews, and release notes. Troubleshoot functional issues on lab benches and vehicles; identify root cause and implement corrective/preventive actions. Collaborate with mechanical/electrical teams to translate system requirements into software requirements and test cases. Support mobile app team with interface specs and reviews (no mobile coding required). Provide leadership for tasking, code reviews, and quality gates. Requirements: Bachelors degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Plus 7 years of progressive experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Embedded Engineer or related experience. 40hrs/week.
