Overview

Sewickley Academy is seeking a Senior School Mathematics Teacher to educate and inspire students in various math courses, including AP Calculus and Multivariable Calculus. The Academy emphasizes a strong academic background and a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment that aligns with its mission of building knowledge and community.

Key responsibilities

  • Teach a range of Senior School mathematics courses including AP Calculus AB/BC and Multivariable Calculus
  • Support and participate in a student-focused school culture
  • Set high expectations for student achievement and personal performance
  • Ensure instruction meets the school's academic standards
  • Engage in continuous learning to benefit student education
  • Serve as a Senior School advisor to 8-10 advisees
  • Take on additional responsibilities such as advising a club or serving on a committee

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education
