Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSenior Salesforce Consultant / Developer (Part-Time Contract 1099)Location: RemoteType: Contract (1099 Only)Hours: 15-20 hours/weekCompensation: $60-70/hr rate Our client is seeking a senior-level Salesforce Consultant / Developer to step into an existing Salesforce environment supporting a large-scale scholarship management program serving thousands of student applicants annually.This individual will act as a high-level technical consultant and hands-on developer, helping assess an existing platform built by a prior Salesforce development partner, stabilize current functionality, and deliver strategic improvements and missing solutions moving forward. The ideal candidate is comfortable entering imperfect environments, identifying gaps quickly, and independently driving practical solutions with minimal oversight.Project OverviewThe platform supports scholarship application management for thousands of students each year, including:Application intake and workflow managementTracking and processing scholarship submissionsReview and approval workflowsAI-assisted filtering and evaluation toolsReporting, automation, and user experience improvementsThe client is looking for someone who can both evaluate the current state of the system and serve as an ongoing technical partner for future enhancements.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and assess the current Salesforce architecture, customizations, automations, and workflowsIdentify system gaps, technical debt, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvementDesign and develop scalable Salesforce solutions aligned with business goalsBuild and improve automations, workflows, integrations, and custom functionalitySupport AI-enabled filtering and workflow optimization initiativesTroubleshoot and resolve existing platform issuesProvide consultative guidance and best practice recommendations to stakeholdersCollaborate directly with leadership and end users to understand operational needsDocument recommendations and technical solutions as neededRequired QualificationsExtensive experience as a Salesforce Developer and/or Salesforce ConsultantStrong hands-on experience with:ApexLightning Components / LWCSalesforce FlowAPI integrationsCustom objects and automationProven experience reviewing and improving existing Salesforce implementationsAbility to work independently in loosely defined or evolving environmentsStrong troubleshooting and systems-thinking mindsetExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience acting as a trusted advisor or consultant-level resourcePreferred QualificationsExperience supporting education, scholarship, grant management, or application-based platformsExposure to AI tools or workflow automation enhancements within SalesforceSalesforce certifications preferredExperience inheriting projects from previous development firms or consulting teams
