Overview

Join Amrize as a Senior Resource & Mining Planning Manager in Mississauga, Ontario, where you will lead the assessment and estimation of aggregate reserves and resources while ensuring compliance with SEC regulations. You will manage a team of resource professionals, collaborate with various business units, and support ongoing operational needs to optimize resource utilization and safety.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and track aggregate reserves and resources for Central Canada, ensuring compliance with SEC SK-1300 regulations.
  • Develop short-term and long-term mining plans in collaboration with Operations and other functional groups.
  • Lead a team of resource professionals and manage geological investigations and modeling.
  • Provide operational support and assist with the development and review of annual operational plans.
  • Collaborate with the Land Management team to identify new resource opportunities and lead due diligence.
  • Support land and environmental permitting processes.
  • Promote a culture of safety and compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in mining engineering, geological engineering, geo-sciences, or similar field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in mining or construction materials industry
  • Professional engineering or geoscience certification (P.Eng or P. Geo)
  • Proficiency in resource estimation, mine planning, and geological software (Vulcan or Carlson preferred)
  • Experience with GIS mapping (ArcGIS) and 3D modeling
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of mine planning regulations and best practices
  • Willingness to travel to sites (20-40%, mostly day trips)
