Overview

The Bosch Group is seeking a Senior Research Scientist specializing in Vision-Language-Action (VLA) Models to contribute to advanced research in the fields of AI, particularly within the domains of autonomous driving and robotics. The position is based in Sunnyvale, California and involves collaboration with global teams to push the boundaries of AI technologies and integrate innovative solutions into Bosch products.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct research in AI and machine learning for Embodied AI applications.
  • Develop modular end-to-end perception and planning systems for ADAS/AD.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure technology transfer and system integration.
  • Implement research findings to address real-world challenges.
  • Engage with academic and industry communities at conferences and workshops.
  • Document and publish research results and patent submissions.

Required skills

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field, or Master's with relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of R&D experience in AI, computer vision, and robotics.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, C++, or Rust.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Hands-on experience in reinforcement learning for planning and behavior.
  • Strong portfolio of publications in AI and robotics journals and conferences.
  • Experience with multimodal transformer-based models and computer vision techniques.
