Overview

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Real Estate Development Manager to support the expansion of its Data Center Network in the U.S. This role involves negotiating real estate agreements, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring site feasibility while being sensitive to community needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead deal engagement, negotiation, and closing of real estate sites
  • Cultivate developer relationships
  • Assist in developing site plans consistent with market conditions
  • Participate in local meetings and hearings related to projects
  • Work cross-functionally with internal and external teams to inform real estate strategy
  • Build and lead teams of vendors and consultants to evaluate site feasibility
  • Travel as needed

Required skills

  • 8+ years of experience in large-scale site selection and real estate negotiations
  • 5+ years in land entitlement functions and site due diligence
  • Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Real Estate or related fields
  • Understanding of Data Center industry and site selection
  • Master's Degree or Juris Doctor in relevant fields (preferred)
  • Experience in public-private partnerships
  • Ability to communicate technical requirements related to infrastructure
