Overview

The Senior Project Manager at High Star Traffic is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of traffic control and heavy highway projects. This role encompasses strategic oversight and hands-on project management to ensure adherence to safety, quality, schedule, and profitability standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead projects from estimating handoff through completion, ensuring alignment of scope, schedule, and budget
  • Develop project plans, schedules, staffing needs, and lane-closure strategies
  • Coordinate with DOTs, municipalities, general contractors, utilities, vendors, and internal teams
  • Oversee field execution through site visits, productivity tracking, and quality control
  • Promote and support safety compliance through audits, site reviews, and incident follow-up
  • Manage budgets, job costing, change orders, and billing documentation
  • Serve as the primary customer contact and proactively resolve issues
  • Ensure timely project closeout, including final quantities and documentation

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 8-10+ years of experience in heavy highway construction or traffic control
  • Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, cost control, and change management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing conditions
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software

What the company offers

  • Salary range: $116,150 - 126,950
