Job Description

Overview

As a Senior Project Manager at Barringer Construction in Greenville, SC, you will be responsible for leading multiple complex commercial construction projects from initiation to closeout while mentoring project teams. This role requires building strong client relationships and ensuring project success through strategic decisions and effective management.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead multiple concurrent projects and high-performing teams, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and construction plans.
  • Own and deepen client relationships to strengthen Barringer's market presence.
  • Drive pursuit interviews, pricing efforts, and strategic project decisions.
  • Negotiate contracts, create budgets, and develop cost projections.
  • Execute timely buyout and lead project closeout with zero Day 2 items.
  • Mentor and develop Project Managers, Assistant PMs, and Project Engineers.
  • Anticipate challenges and help teams navigate risks proactively.
  • Represent Barringer in client meetings, interviews, and presentations.

Required skills

  • 8-10+ years of commercial construction management experience
  • Proven leadership and team-building abilities
  • Strong business acumen in budgets, contracts, and cost projections
  • Advanced Procore skills; Procore certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Viewpoint, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam
