Overview

Exxel Pacific is looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join their team in Bellevue, Washington. This role involves supporting the on-site project team in administrative management and documentation of construction projects, while fostering a collaborative, team-oriented culture.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the on-site project team with daily administrative management and documentation
  • Mentor and train other Project Engineers
  • Review and track submittals and request supplemental design information
  • Update design documents and gather project costs
  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to create accurate documentation
  • Assist in material procurement and track project estimates
  • Solicit new subcontractors and ensure pre-qualification steps
  • Develop bid packages and manage drawings and subcontractor documents
  • Implement Change Order procedures and estimate costs of changes
  • Track and maintain project schedules and budget
  • Schedule team meetings and provide detailed project summaries
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal laws

Required skills

  • B.S. in Construction Management or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Experience managing other Project Engineers
  • Strong knowledge of construction management divisions
  • Strong computer skills including Bluebeam/PDF and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Viewpoint is beneficial
