Overview

Sentara Health is seeking a Full-Time Senior Process Improvement Engineer for the Post Acute Operations Improvement team in Virginia Beach, VA. This role is focused on identifying, analyzing, and optimizing operational processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity within the organization using methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and analyze operational processes to enhance efficiency and quality
  • Utilize data-driven methodologies, including Lean and Six Sigma, to streamline workflows
  • Mentor and train other Process Improvement Engineers
  • Lead cross-functional teams in designing and implementing process enhancements
  • Monitor outcomes to ensure sustainability of improvements
  • Create detailed reports and presentations for senior management

Required skills

  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Project Management experience
  • 5 years of experience in process improvement engineering
  • Data Analysis skills
  • Experience with workflow redesign and change management
  • Educational background in Industrial Engineering preferred
