Overview

Sentara Health is seeking a Full-Time Senior Process Improvement Engineer to join the Ambulatory Operations Improvement team in Virginia Beach, VA. The role focuses on optimizing operational processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity through data-driven methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma. The engineer will lead cross-functional teams, mentor other engineers, and communicate process improvements to senior management.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze, and optimize operational processes.
  • Utilize data-driven methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to design and implement process enhancements.
  • Mentor other Process Improvement Engineers.
  • Create detailed reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Ensure alignment of process improvements with organizational goals.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree required; Industrial Engineering preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in process improvement engineering.
  • Certified in Lean Six Sigma and related methodologies preferred.
  • Experience with workflow redesign and labor management.
  • Strong data analysis and project management skills.
