Raytheon is seeking a Senior Principal Software Engineer to lead the development of test equipment and manage multidisciplined teams in Tucson, Arizona. The role involves software integration, troubleshooting, and communicating project status to senior management, all while adhering to DoD compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Guide multidisciplined teams in the development of test equipment
  • Prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a production environment
  • Contribute to cost and schedule management planning
  • Communicate project status to senior management
  • Troubleshoot software and test equipment
  • Develop requirements for software products

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of software application development in C++, C#, Java, Python, or Visual Basic
  • 10+ years of professional engineering experience with integrated development environments and debugging tools
  • Experience with Windows Operating System, Microsoft Visual Studio, and Microsoft Azure DevOps Server
  • Familiarity with test instrumentation and software like NI VISA
  • 2+ years managing Test Equipment on DoD compliant systems
