Overview

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Principal Software Engineer with Test Equipment to lead multidisciplined teams in developing and managing test equipment in Tucson, Arizona. This role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a government security clearance. The engineer will handle multiple tasks in a production environment, contribute to project management, and troubleshoot software and test equipment.

Key responsibilities

  • Guide multidisciplined teams in the development of test equipment
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a production environment
  • Contribute to cost and schedule management planning
  • Communicate project status to senior management
  • Troubleshoot software and test equipment
  • Develop requirements for software products

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in STEM fields
  • 10+ years of experience in developing and integrating software applications (C++, C#, Java, Python, Visual Basic)
  • 10+ years of professional engineering experience using integrated development environments and debugging tools
  • Experience with Windows operating system, Microsoft Visual Studio, and Azure DevOps Server
  • Familiarity with laboratory test instrumentation and software (e.g., NI VISA)
  • 2+ years of experience managing test equipment on DoD compliant information systems
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
