Overview

Raytheon is seeking a Senior Principal Radar Receiver Exciter Hardware Lead to oversee the design, development, integration, and testing of advanced radar and receiver exciter hardware. This role involves tackling complex technical challenges and leading a team to enhance radar systems used globally while ensuring successful transition to production.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead architecture development and subsystem analysis for radar and receiver exciter systems.
  • Define interfaces between Receiver Exciter subsystems and other components.
  • Support signal processing algorithm development based on system needs.
  • Resolve complex technical issues during design, integration, and testing phases.
  • Process and analyze radar data to identify performance issues.
  • Develop calibration solutions to meet performance specifications.
  • Interface with customers on technical and program status.
  • Lead small development teams and participate in manufacturing transition reviews.

Required skills

  • Degree in STEM field with 10+ years of experience or advanced degree with 7+ years.
  • Experience with radar receiver/exciter signal processing techniques.
  • Proficiency in analytical tools such as MATLAB.
  • Experience in radar system analysis, design and testing.
  • Familiarity with I/Q signal processing and programming languages like C/C++ and Python.
  • Knowledge of digital signal processing techniques and FPGA implementation.
  • Hands-on laboratory experience with test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and VNAs.
  • Experience transitioning designs from concept to production.
  • Ability to manage budgets and schedules.
