Overview

The Senior Principal Guidance Section (GS) Technical Lead at Raytheon will oversee the technical integrity of electrical subsystems in mission-critical projects, requiring an active U.S. government issued security clearance. The role entails leading a cross-functional engineering team, managing technical risks, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality electronic system solutions in alignment with Raytheon's values of innovation and accountability.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional engineering teams through product development.
  • Manage technical risks and oversee the Technical Data Package (TDP) development.
  • Conduct trade studies and define interfaces in hardware and software domains.
  • Support component level design and test reviews.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and customers for capability demonstrations.
  • Guide teams through hardware systems lifecycle phases and root-cause failure investigations.
  • Mentor and collaborate with peers, management, and external stakeholders.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in RF product design, analog, digital, and power electronics design.
  • Knowledge of RF subsystems, systems engineering, and requirement validation.
  • Prior experience leading complex systems during the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Development (EMD) phase.
  • Interpersonal skills for collaboration with peers, suppliers, and management.
  • Experience with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE).
  • Practical experience in all phases of the product development lifecycle.
