SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator to manage and ensure the accuracy of end-to-end time capture and reconciliation of timecards. RESPONSIBILITIESImplement end-to-end Time capture process, including regulatory and union work rules, audit, time transfer, reporting, and filingsReview and reconcile timecards before weekly and bi-weekly pay runsPrepare and review weekly timekeeping/payroll reports, including data entry and associated reportingRetain time and attendance records for historical questions and auditsPrepare and audit time records for daily off-cycle checksMaintain and test systems during enhancements, upgrades, or new work rulesResearch and resolve complex payroll inquiries from project teams, business services, or team membersLiaison for Payroll team with project teams, ensuring correct recording of worked hours QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent education and experienceMinimum five years payroll experience in a multi-state environmentPreferred knowledge of Passport timekeeping, Oracle payroll, or ADPExperience with unions and CPP certification a plusPositive, professional attitude with excellent customer service skillsAbility to balance multiple priorities with a sense of urgencyHigh accuracy in following complex processes and implementing improvementsKnowledge of Fair Labor Standards Act, state payroll requirements, federal and state payroll taxes, and standard accounting procedures A few benefits offered include: (for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week)Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverage Dental plan 401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson matchPaid time off, holidays, and other paid leaves Employer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insurance No-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resourcesTuition reimbursement Adoption Assistance Gym Membership Discount Program The base pay range for this role is $37.50 - $50.62. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
