Overview

Upson Regional Medical Center is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to architect and secure the hospital's critical network infrastructure. This onsite role requires advanced technical expertise in HPE Aruba environments and Palo Alto security systems to ensure high uptime and robust security for clinical and administrative systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and deploy complex HPE Aruba switching environments.
  • Manage network capacity planning and ensure scalable growth.
  • Implement advanced switching protocols including VSX, OSPF, and BGP.
  • Engineer and maintain high-density wireless networks using Aruba Access Points.
  • Architect and manage Next-Generation Firewall policies with Palo Alto networks.
  • Administer centralized monitoring for power infrastructure and ensure continuous power delivery.
  • Monitor network health 24/7 and lead root-cause analysis for outages.
  • Create detailed network diagrams and maintain documentation for compliance.
  • Mentor junior staff and provide escalation support for complex incidents.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Electrical Engineering
  • 7+ years of enterprise network engineering experience
  • Deep expertise in HPE Aruba switching
  • Proficiency in Aruba Central management and monitoring
  • Advanced skills in Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama management
  • Operational knowledge of Cisco ASA firewalls
  • Experience with VPN configurations
  • Certifications: Palo Alto (PCNSA, PCNSE), Aruba (ACMP, ACCP), Cisco (CCNP Security, Enterprise)
