Overview

The Senior NDT Technician role at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation involves performing non-destructive tests (NDT) to ensure the quality and safety of aircraft components. The position requires a team-oriented approach to maintain compliance with safety standards and effectively manage inspection workloads to support the company's mission of delivering top-quality aviation experiences.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform non-destructive tests (NDT) and determine product acceptability
  • Record, organize, and evaluate test results
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety rules and regulations
  • Maintain equipment and calibration for tests
  • Coordinate NDT inspection workload according to priorities
  • Provide technical assistance to subordinate NDT technicians
  • Perform automated ultrasonic C-scan inspection of composite parts
  • Conduct process control on area inspection equipment
  • Perform exposure room interlock safety checks
  • Assist other NDT Technicians as required

Required skills

  • Level II certification in NDT methods (PT, ET, UT, MT)
  • 4 years of NDT related experience
  • Certification in two NAS 410 NDT methods
  • ASQ certificate preferred
  • Blueprint reading and interpretation
  • Proficiency in current computer-based software
  • Strong personal and communication skills
  • Basic shop math skills
  • Ability to lift and transport objects up to 40 pounds
