Overview

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Senior NDT Technician for their facility in St. Louis. This role is vital for ensuring that aircraft parts and assemblies meet quality standards through non-destructive testing methods. The ideal candidate will have extensive NDT experience and specific level II certifications in various methods.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform non-destructive tests (NDT) to determine product acceptability according to prescribed methods.
  • Record and organize test results, entering findings into applicable documents.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety rules and protect self and others during testing.
  • Maintain equipment calibration and inventory control.
  • Assist and provide technical guidance to subordinate NDT technicians.
  • Coordinate NDT inspection workload prioritizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct automated ultrasonic C-scan inspections of composite parts.

Required skills

  • Level II certification in NDT methods: PT, ET, UT, MT
  • 4 years of NDT related experience
  • Ability to obtain certification in a third NAS 410 NDT method within 1 year
  • Knowledge of radiation safety practices
  • Experience in blueprint reading and interpretation
  • Proficiency in computer-based software
  • Strong personal and communication skills
