Overview

The Senior Millwright at West Fraser in Jacksonville Beach, Florida is responsible for the maintenance and operation of planer machines. This role requires a strong focus on safety, adherence to maintenance procedures, and the ability to effectively perform both minor and major repairs.

Key responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment and safety procedures
  • Perform critical measurements and maintain planer machine functionality
  • Conduct minor repairs and preventive maintenance on machines
  • Feed planer and ensure a constant lumber flow through the system
  • Assist maintenance with major repairs and perform routine maintenance and lubrication
  • Change knives as needed and maintain housekeeping as assigned by supervisor
  • Complete the West Fraser Qualified Millwright training and assessments
