What you will be doing: Process Development and Optimization: Lead the development and execution of manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods, and equipment selection, to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness while meeting product specifications and quality standards locally and globally. Policy and Procedure Improvement: Lead and support organizational groups locally and globally to develop, improve, and implement policies, procedures, and controls. Provide accurate feedback and facilitate continuous improvement through effective team collaboration. Tooling and Equipment: Design, source, test, and cost-justify various tools, machinery, and equipment at both local and global levels. Ensure that the selected manufacturing methods align with production goals and enhance efficiency across operations. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze production data and write reports to validate processes or identify deviations from standards locally and globally. Use insights from data to drive process improvements. Work Instructions and Procedures: Develop and implement detailed work instructions, processes, and procedures for production floors and departments at local and global sites, ensuring clarity and accessibility. Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and support for complex manufacturing operations locally and globally, serving as a key resource for troubleshooting and problem-solving. Safety and Compliance: Review and improve processes and procedures to preserve and enhance employee safety locally and globally. Promote a compliance culture and uphold the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct. Facility Layout and Planning: Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of buildings, assembly areas, and equipment at local and global locations to optimize production efficiency and ensure safety. Training and Mentorship: Train production staff on processes and procedures at local and global sites. Mentor and develop team members in manufacturing engineering and project management, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Special Projects: Perform special projects as required to support both local and global objectives. Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering with 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering; or 9 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience. Shift: This position has a compressed work schedule (Monday through Thursday). Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship. Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead and execute complex projects. Excellent organization, planning, and follow-up skills to ensure project success. Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively convey information across all levels. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly when addressing complex issues. A continuous improvement mindset, open to new approaches, and comfortable with agile working in the digital age. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
