Job Description

Overview

Clarios is seeking a Senior Manufacturing & Controls Engineer to drive continuous improvement in plant processes and equipment. The role includes providing technical support for plant operations and implementing capital projects while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in plant processes and equipment
  • Design and implement PLC program changes and mechanical/electrical documentation
  • Use problem-solving techniques such as Pareto analysis and FMEA
  • Provide technical support for maintenance and capital project implementation
  • Act as a liaison between plant and engineering personnel
  • Monitor processes to ensure performance to specifications
  • Review new specifications for manufacturing system integration
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA standards

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Manufacturing, or Controls Engineering
  • 5 years of experience in Manufacturing and Controls Engineering
  • Experience with troubleshooting automation controls, PLC, and HMI programming
  • 4 years of experience in battery manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in programming software such as RsLogix 500, Factory Talk View, and Cognex Insight
  • Experience with electrical or mechanical design and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement principles, including Lean and Six Sigma
  • Experience with CAD and ability to create technical documents and drawings
  • Experience coordinating multiple optimization and automation projects
