Job Description

Overview

Capital One is seeking an experienced Senior Manager for its Alternative Renewable Energy team, focusing on Tax Equity transactions in renewable sectors like wind, solar, and storage. This role involves underwriting new transactions and managing the existing portfolio, while also serving as a deep subject matter expert in credit risk management or commercial lending.

Key responsibilities

  • Support and compile due diligence on material risks and performance drivers
  • Leverage industry research to present findings to senior management
  • Review financial models and propose structuring options
  • Write and prepare credit approval documents independently
  • Oversee closing process requirements and negotiate with counsel and clients
  • Review and approve annual reviews and modifications of the portfolio
  • Facilitate and lead quarterly portfolio reviews and prepare reports
  • Build relationships across functions to foster collaboration
  • Mentor and train new hires and analysts
  • Ensure compliance with credit policies and procedures

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
  • 5+ years in tax equity credit underwriting or portfolio management
  • Expertise in credit risk management
  • Financial modeling and due diligence experience
  • Leadership experience with deal teams or analysts
  • Strong market analysis skills
  • Experience negotiating term sheets and agreements
