Overview

The Senior Manager of Technology and Data Strategy at the Health and Welfare Council of Long Island will oversee and define data and analytics strategies for the Social Care Network (SCN) as part of New York's Health Equity Reform initiative. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders in the healthcare field to enhance data interoperability and support HEALI’s mission in serving vulnerable populations.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of HEALI's technologies and build a data governance framework
  • Define KPIs and analytics strategy for HEALI's program outcomes
  • Represent HEALI's technological interests to network stakeholders
  • Manage participation in external workgroups to identify interoperability standards
  • Design and oversee implementation of workflows for health and social care information
  • Collaborate with technology vendors to ensure data strategies meet necessary requirements
  • Provide guidance on policies and regulations affecting healthcare technology
  • Work cross-functionally with updates to technology or data exchange solutions
  • Advise network partners on technical and data-related matters

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's or PhD preferred
  • 8-10 years of experience in technical roles, preferably in healthcare or social services
  • Experience with Clinical Information Systems and Interoperability Standards
  • Knowledge of healthcare data management and analysis
  • Familiarity with health IT data standards such as HL7, FHIR, and ICD-10
  • Understanding of state and federal information privacy regulations like HIPAA
  • Strong commitment to social justice and alignment with HWCLI's mission
