Overview

As the Senior Manager of Software Engineering at Clarios, you will lead the global software engineering organization within Embedded System Product Engineering. Your role involves promoting a platform-oriented approach to software development for safety-critical low voltage energy systems while ensuring high-quality and compliant software delivery across all automotive programs.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the global software engineering organization.
  • Build, scale, and integrate software engineering teams into a unified global organization.
  • Drive execution of software development across programs, aligning with product engineering and program requirements.
  • Own and enforce software development processes and governance aligned with ASPICE, ISO 26262, and ISO 21434.
  • Develop and introduce software platforms including configuration management and lifecycle management.
  • Implement modern development environments including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
  • Define and track software KPIs to manage delivery performance, quality, and efficiency.
  • Lead software-related supplier and partner management.
  • Ensure strong integration of software engineering into cross-functional development.

Required skills

  • 12+ years of experience in embedded software engineering in automotive environments.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing and developing engineering organizations.
  • Proven experience in building global software engineering organizations.
  • Strong experience in battery management systems (BMS) and LV-Energy Systems.
  • Deep understanding of automotive standards including ASPICE, ISO 26262, and ISO 21434.
  • Experience in developing software for safety-critical systems.
  • Experience with developing software platforms, including modular architectures.
  • Strong understanding of embedded system architectures and system integration.
  • Experience in industrializing software, including release and configuration management.
  • Familiarity with modern development environments and toolchains.
