Overview

Reed Smith Legal Solutions is seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial Senior Manager & Team Lead for their Intelligence & Investigations practice. This role requires a seasoned investigation professional to build and lead a global investigative practice, with responsibilities spanning client engagement, strategic business development, and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and scale a global Intelligence & Investigations practice
  • Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for investigative services
  • Establish operational frameworks and quality standards
  • Lead the full lifecycle of investigative engagements
  • Direct and oversee complex investigations on various topics
  • Serve as a senior advisor on investigative strategy and risk assessment
  • Recruit and manage a high-performing team of investigators
  • Lead business development initiatives targeting key sectors
  • Represent the practice through networking and thought leadership

Required skills

  • 15+ years of experience in corporate intelligence or investigations
  • Deep expertise in OSINT, HUMINT, and litigation support
  • Experience in M&A transactions and private equity due diligence
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled investigative platforms
  • Strong commercial and business development capabilities
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to operate independently in fast-paced environments
  • High emotional intelligence and executive presence
