Overview

As a Senior Manager of AI Engineering at Capital One, you will lead a team focused on creating responsible and reliable AI systems that enhance customer experiences in banking. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products, oversee the development and deployment of AI software components, and contribute to the long-term vision for AI systems at Capital One.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products
  • Oversee the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of AI software components
  • Make build-vs-buy decisions across a broad stack of AI technologies
  • Introduce LLM optimization techniques to improve AI system performance
  • Contribute to the technical vision and roadmap of foundational AI systems
  • Attract and retain top talent in the AI industry
  • Foster a culture of learning and professional development

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
  • 6+ years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies
  • 1+ years of people leadership experience
  • Experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, C#, Java, or Golang
  • Strong foundation in engineering and mathematics
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
