Job Description

Overview

R/S Electric is seeking a Senior Low Voltage Technician to serve as the Lead technician for their low-volt team in Saint Joseph, Missouri. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities and at least 5 years of experience in various low voltage systems including structured cabling, optical fiber installation, and fire alarm systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the low-volt team in installation and maintenance of low voltage systems
  • Demonstrate expertise in structured cabling, optical fiber installation, and other low voltage systems
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during projects
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience in low voltage systems
  • Knowledge of structured cabling, optical fiber installation, intruder detection, access control, video surveillance, and
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's Degree or Technician Certificate (preferred)
  • NICET and BCSI Certifications (preferred)
  • Knowledge of network systems and general electronics
