Overview

The Senior Loan Officer at Boone Bank & Trust Co. oversees all lending activities and manages a diverse loan portfolio including commercial, residential mortgage, consumer, and agriculture loans. This role involves collaborating with executive leadership to drive business development, maintain credit culture, and ensure adherence to regulatory policies.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead business development efforts with customers, prospects, and referral sources.
  • Direct workflow of loan functions in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
  • Chair loan committee meetings for loan approvals and policy discussions.
  • Participate in strategic planning and loan policy recommendations.
  • Develop partnerships and participate in community activities to enhance bank image.
  • Coach and mentor team members on professional development.
  • Perform hiring, onboarding, and performance management of staff.
  • Ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information and comply with regulations.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field.
  • 10 to 15 years of lending experience, preferably in commercial and real estate lending.
