Job Description

Overview

As a Senior Lead AI Engineer at Capital One, you will be instrumental in creating responsible AI systems that enhance customer experiences in banking. You will collaborate with a diverse team to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered products that leverage machine learning technologies and impact millions of customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with engineers, research scientists, program managers, and product managers to deliver AI products.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
  • Leverage AI technologies such as AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, and others.
  • Introduce state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques to improve AI systems' performance.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 6+ years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies.
  • Programming experience with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc.).
  • Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
