Overview

The Senior Lead AI Engineer at Capital One will play a critical role in building responsible and reliable AI systems that transform banking. With a strong focus on leveraging machine learning, the individual will partner with various teams to develop and deploy AI-powered products, contributing to the technology infrastructure that enhances customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
  • Leverage a range of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies.
  • Invent and introduce advanced LLM optimization techniques.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 6-7 years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Scala, Java, C++, C#, and Golang.
  • Experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
  • Strong foundation in engineering and mathematics.
