Overview

The Senior Lead AI Engineer at Capital One will play a key role in creating responsible and reliable AI systems, striving to enhance customer experiences in banking. Working within the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences team, this position focuses on developing and deploying advanced AI solutions that benefit both associates and customers, utilizing a broad range of technologies and innovative techniques.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
  • Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies.
  • Invent state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques.
  • Contribute to the long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 6+ years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms.
  • 6+ years of programming experience with Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms.
  • Strong foundation in engineering and mathematics.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
