Overview

Capital One is seeking a Senior Lead AI Engineer specializing in MLX, Agentic AI, and Gen AI platform Services. This role involves leveraging AI to create responsible and reliable systems that enhance customer interactions and banking operations. The candidate will work with a cross-functional team to develop, deploy, and support AI-powered products while contributing to the company's technical vision.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers, research scientists, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
  • Leverage a variety of Open Source and SaaS AI technologies.
  • Invent and introduce optimization techniques for large-scale production AI systems.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 6+ years of experience in developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms like AWS or Google Cloud.
  • Strong foundation in engineering and mathematics.
  • Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
