Overview

The Senior Lead AI Engineer at Capital One will help shape responsible and reliable AI systems to enhance customer experiences and transform banking. This role involves collaborating with a cross-functional team to deliver AI-powered products, focusing on optimizing AI software components and contributing to Capital One's AI technical vision.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
  • Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies.
  • Invent and introduce LLM optimization techniques for AI systems.
  • Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant fields.
  • 6+ years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms.
  • Programming experience in Python, Go, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience deploying scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms.
  • Ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with LLM Inference, Similarity Search, VectorDBs, and Memory.
  • Passion for AI research and ability to apply novel techniques.
